A thick slice of a felled Acacia tree, abandoned in a parking lot in Brugge, transformed into a
coffee table.

The wood was dried for over a year before the bark was removed, and a table carefully sculpted along the lines of the circumference of the tree trunk that features 101 year rings. The top side of the table was leveled, while the underside was rounded and made voluminous, sanded into shape and finished off with coats of bee's wax. A crack was stitched with a polished steel bowtie.

Acacia is the hardest tree that grows on the European continent.
