NY HORISONT invites the Alver public to re-view their horizon on the grounds of historic change.
The artwork engages
the foundation of an abandoned home that was used as a tax- and unemployment office and
a library before being demolished.

From within this ruin, a two-way periscope points to the bridge that connects the island municipality with the mainland, while from outside the ruin the view is reversed: Current global urgencies replace the former pull towards cities with a new focus on local anchoring and potentials.

NY HORISONT will be realized in close collaboration with the local community.
