Singel Canal, Utrecht (NL)

AKWAGLOT is the iconic landmark of the 385th anniversary of Utrecht University.
The floating platform opens on Singel Canal, which has recently been restored after it was filled in decades ago to serve as a highway.
In 2002, residents voted in a referendum to dig up
the road and reopen the canal to promote greener living. As a result, boats are again able to sail around the historic city centre along the green canals where people and nature can rejoice.

From June 28 the AKWAGLOT platform for dialog is positioned along
the east bank of the Singel between the former monastery turned military hospital that now houses the Grand Hotel, and the majestic main building of the Dutch Railway.
